Process Selection

Selecting the appropriate manufacturing process is crucial for achieving the desired characteristics and volumes of rubber products. We review your enquiry to determine the best manufacturing method.

  • We specialise in a variety of industrial production techniques. By evaluating our clients needs at the start of the process we can determine the most efficient and cost-effective solution to the production of their products.

    Our techniques include:

Compression, Transfer Injection, Injection moulding and Rubber to Metal Bonding.

Extrusion: Continuous Cure – Autoclave, Cut to Length and Vulcanised into Rings or Frames.

Cutting from Sheet Material: Punching and Water Jet Cutting.

We also offer post-processing operations, including hand trimming, length cutting and joining, applying self-adhesive backings, buffing, and painting. Guiding our customers to ensure the most cost-effective manufacturing solution.

  • We provide comprehensive support from concept through to production, ensuring full dimension and material conformity while complying with ISO 9001:2015 certification.

    Our services include:

Material and Process Review: Ensuring the most cost-effective manufacturing method.

Prototype Tooling and Parts: Providing functional parts for evaluation and testing.

Design Adjustments: Assisting with any design changes needed.

  • With over 45 years of experience, we help you choose the best rubber compound for your application.

    Considerations include:

Physical Properties: Hardness, tensile strength, compression set.

    Electrical Properties: Resistivity, conductivity.

Thermal Properties: Working temperatures, fire retardant.

Environmental Properties: Acid, alkaline, oil resistance.

    Weather Resistance: Ozone, UV.

Production Method: Compression, transfer, or injection.

    Cost: Evaluating cost-effective solutions.

Our technical team collaborates with product designers and engineers to select the most suitable compound, optimizing manufacturing and performance.

  • MasQtec’s technical team, along with our partners, design and manufacture custom tooling for a wide range of rubber components, from single cavities for prototypes to multi-cavity tools for high-volume production.

We specialize in compression Moulding, Transfer Moulding, Corner Moulding, Jointing of Extrusions

and Injection Moulding (Thermoset Rubber, TPE).

We accept CAD data in various formats and use the latest CAD/CAM software, CNC, and 5-axis machine tools to create precise tools. Our capabilities include reverse engineering for parts without existing drawings or CAD data.

  • We offer comprehensive prototyping services to advance your project from initial design to production. Using our in-house expertise and strategic partners.

    Our services include:

3D Printed Models: In hard plastic and “rubber-like” materials.

Soft Tooling: Casting components in flexible rubber materials.

Prototype Tooling: Creating fully functional parts in the correct material for evaluation and low-volume production.

Prototyping helps establish suitable materials and processes for volume production, ensuring the final design works efficiently before committing to production tooling.

  • We offer reverse engineering services for parts without existing drawings or CAD data. By analysing a sample part, we can:

Identify Rubber Material: Determine the rubber type and hardness.

Measure Dimensions: Using conventional and non-contact methods.

3D Laser Scanning: Create highly accurate 3D models for mould tool manufacturing.

This service allows us to produce speciality parts for various applications, ensuring a cost-effective solution for your manufacturing needs.
